Warnings: none
Word Count: ~3600
Summary: Blair doesn’t expect to find a sanctuary at the end of the world.
A/N: Written for the trope_bingo prompt, “AU: apocalypse.” Fills the February amnesty challenge for the prompts: “theft,” “pandemics and endemics,” “chronic illness/pain,” and the wild card prompt, “ostracized from society.” Fills the wild card square for Sentinel Bingo for “soulmates.” (Yeah, killing three birds with one stone.)

Rookie Mistake
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Gen; Jim and Blair
Spoilers: Could be considered a prequel to Hold On Hope, but it stands on its own.
Word Count: ~1400
Summary: Blair gets through his time in uniform mostly unscathed; the same can’t be said for Jim.
A/N: Written for the [community profile] hc_bingo prompt “assault.” So, all of my research indicates that you have to do time as a patrol officer before you can become a detective. Then again, this is TS, so I’m going to pretend I didn’t just do that research and you can get promoted within months, rather than years.

Word Count: ~1600
Summary: He squeezed her hand. “What’s a little headache? I’ve had worse.”
A/N: Written for the hc_bingo prompt “headaches/migraines.” So sorry, guys. I didn’t mean to write these snippets out of order, but I have a prompt to fill and a plot gap to fill in. And I plan on writing one more short fic before the next long one.
Anything That’s Human
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.

Word Count: ~3100
Summary: Major Jim Ellison was the last person you’d assume would willingly attend counseling sessions.
A/N: Written for the hc_bingo prompt “posttraumatic stress disorder.” This story is a bit of a departure for me, but the idea hit, and I couldn’t shake it.

Can't Win For Losing
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Jim Ellison/Samantha Carter, Blair Sandburg
Spoilers: Through the end of The Sentinel and S5.21, “Meridian”. Takes place soon after The Sorrows You Keep, and a part of my TS/SG-1 series.
Warnings: Major (canonical) character death
Word Count: 2028
Summary: Can’t win for losing, Jim thought, and wondered if their luck would ever turn around.
A/N: Written for the April Amnesty challenge for [community profile] hc_bingo, for the prompt “stranded/survival situation.”

FYI, this might end up being part of a longer story someday, and I'm definitely planning a long sequel, but I needed to post a crossover for hc_bingo, and I also needed to deal with Meridian. This is what happened.

Time and Tide
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Jim/Blair
Spoilers: Through the end of the series
Word Count: ~7400
Artist: Luna, Project #9
Beta: t_verano
Summary: Will an incoming tsunami bring Jim and Blair back together, or separate them permanently?

A/N: Written for the 2015 Sentinal Reverse Bang. Many thanks to t_verano for the help! All remaining mistakes are mine.

A/N 2: There has been a lot more info in the news recently about the potential for a big tsunami in the Pacific Northwest. So, this fic might be AU, but the reality is that the possibility is there. For the record, I’m basing the geography of Cascade loosely off Seattle. I have read Legion’s “Unsung,” and I think this takes a slightly different tack. I didn’t want to be too influenced by that story, but I did want to offer this disclaimer. Whatever similarities there happen to be, they were unintentional on my part.

Death Is Just So Full
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: R
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Spoilers: Set post-series, but mild spoilers for Deep Water
Pairings/Characters: Jim/Blair (pre-slash)
Warnings: Underage sex, child abuse, prostitution of a child, but nothing too graphic. Canon-type violence.
Word Count: ~10,500
Summary: There’s a reason Jim got out of Vice.
A/N:  Written for the hc_bingo prompt “prostitution” and the trope_bingo prompt “indecent proposal.” Title from the Mumford & Sons song, “After the Storm” For the record, I have no idea if self-lubricating strawberry flavored condoms exist (or if they existed when this story takes place), and I don’t want to know. So, just go with it. Also, the terminology used for sex workers in this story does not reflect the author’s feelings about the same.

The Sorrows You Keep

Word Count: ~34,000
Summary: Some scars weren’t visible to the naked eye.
A/N: Title from the Royal Wood song, “Tonight I’ll Be Your Guide.” (I couldn’t resist.) Written for the
[community profile] hc_bingo  for my wild card square and the prompt “post traumatic stress disorder,” and the [community profile] trope_bingo  prompt “fake relationship.” For the record, I’m playing a bit fast and loose with the timeline of S5 of SG-1, but then we don’t always know how much time passes between episodes.

Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Spoilers: Goes AU in S3, prior to “Crossroads”
Pairings/Characters: Jim/Blair, Simon, Joel, Eli Stoddard
Word Count: ~6450
Summary: Blair’s new advisor doesn’t like his subject of study.
A/N: Written for The Sentinel Reverse Bang for 2012, for Debbie Stone’s gorgeous piece. Technically, the Guarani are a large people group with many tribes, but then, the Powers That Be made up the Chopec, so I thought I’d take some liberties.

“Yesterdays, how quick they change/All lost and gone now./It’s hard to remember anything/Moving at the speed of sound/Moving with the speed of sound./And yet I’m still holding tight/To this dream of distant light/And that somehow I’ll survive.” ~Pearl Jam, “Speed of Sound”
