Doubt the Stars Are Fire
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: NC-17
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: John Sheppard/Tony DiNozzo
Spoilers: Through S10 of SG-1 and S5 of SGA; through S8 of NCIS; a sequel to Love the One You're With and part of my ongoing series.
Word Count: ~28,600
Warnings: mentions sexual assault and coercion, some brief homophobic language
Summary: Tony has seen some weird shit in his time, but this just takes the cake.
A/N: First, a huge thank you to everyone who has read and left comments and kudos. I wrote the first story on a lark, but the series has taken on a life of its own. Your support means the world to me. Second, for everybody who wanted a story addressing the repeal of DADT and Tony going to Atlantis: this fic is for you.

Love the One You're With
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Spoilers: Set after/during Under the Radar
Pairings/Characters: Tony/John, Teyla, Rodney, Ronon
Word Count: ~1900
Summary: John takes a long drink of his beer, and then he says, “There’s one person I want to marry, and he wasn’t there yesterday.”
A/N: Written for the hc_bingo prompt “forced marriage.” This is a bit of a departure from me for this series, but the plot bunny struck, and I thought it might be interesting. There’s another long fic coming after this, and you’ll all be excited to know that I’ve figured out a relatively realistic way to get Tony to Atlantis (at least for a visit). Stay tuned!
Under the Radar
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: NC-17
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Tony DiNozzo/John Sheppard
Spoilers: Set after A House Divided Cannot Stand
Word Count: ~1800
Summary: Tony realizes he hasn’t planned for this. He’s been thinking of himself as being “off the market” for months now, so he has no idea what to say to the gorgeous woman hitting on him.
A/N: Written for the hc_bingo prompt “invisibility.” Thanks to syderia for sparking the idea.

Spoilers: Through S5 of SGA, and the beginning of S7 of NCIS, picks up where Terribly Restless left off.
Pairings/Characters: Tony DiNozzo/John Sheppard, and the rest of the gang
Word Count: ~18,000
Summary: It’s not going anywhere; they both know that. Somehow, they can’t help themselves.
A/N: I think that, technically, Tony should have a single bed at this point, but he has at least a double in S13, so I’m going to roll with that. A lot can happen in a few months/years. Fills the “WILD CARD” square for the hc_bingo prompt: “forbidden love”

Terribly Restless

Rating: R
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Tony DiNozzo/John Sheppard
Spoilers: Through the end of SGA and beginning of S7 of NCIS
Warnings: Homophobic language, suicide (not of a main character)
Word Count: ~13,500

A/N: Written for the [community profile] hc_bingo prompt: skeletons in the closet. Many thanks to [personal profile] shaddyr who posed the initial “what if?” with a bit of her own spin. This is my take on it. For purposes of this fic, I’m fudging the ages just a bit.

Pairings/Characters: John/Rodney, Teyla, Ronon
Spoilers: None; steampunk (sort of) AU
Word Count: ~16,000
Summary: The first time Rodney sees John Sheppard, he has just stepped off the airship and onto the North Pier. The small figure is flying between the spires of the city, too far away for Rodney to be able to recognize him later; close enough to know it’s a person. He thinks it a good omen at the time—if he believed in such things. It turns out that he’s not right, but he’s not wrong either.
A/N: Written for [community profile] mcshep_match  2012, for the prompt, “salt in the wound”. Many thanks to S. for the brainstorming help, and to Team Captain [personal profile] busaikko , who was a huge help cleaning things up.

“You and I made a pact, a deal that as we lay dying, we’d think about each other then, and smile as we’re taken in. I listened like a little child, to the story of your earthbound pilot. He plummeted so violent, his parachute not opening, and rushing into oblivion, he broke into that knowing grin. I think about that a lot, ‘cause a lot is what I’ve not got, and a smile is what I least expect, in the clutches of this darkness. You, I was surprised to hear, your velvet birdsong in my ear. The phone broke its silent stint. I pulled the cord and I needed it. You billowed like a bowl of silk, and slowed me from my ruining.” ~Hey Rosetta!, “We Made a Pact”

Epilogue

“The year after we declared independence was a hard one. We saw a lot of losses, and we were pretty hard-hit. And before you ask, it was difficult to say goodbye to Colonel Mitchell. He was a great help, and we had no idea what the situation was back on Earth. We didn’t want to lose him, but there didn’t seem to be a choice. In the end, we had to do without him, just like we had to do without a lot of people. But the next year—well, the next year we had a huge win, and we lost more than we ever thought we would.”
