No One Left Behind or Forgotten
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters
Pairings/Characters: Gen; Wesley, Dawn, Spike
Spoilers: Set after Sticky Fingers, part of my Second Childhood series, which can now be considered complete.
Word Count: ~25,000
Summary: Wesley finally meets his grandmother. She is both everything and nothing like he expects.
A/N: This is quite a bit longer than I intended, but what else is new? And it’s probably the closest thing to a high school AU you’re going to get from me. That said, I’m tying up a few loose ends, and while I fully expect to revisit the series at some point in the future, I hope I’m leaving you all in a good place.

Kintsugi

enigmaticblue: Spuffy (spuffy)
This was my entry for [community profile] seasonal_spuffy, but we were out of town, and I'm finally getting around to posting it here.

Title: Kintsugi
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: NC-17
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Buffy/Spike, Willow, Dawn, Tara
Spoilers: For S6, and a sequel to my fic, The Temporary Nature of Any Precious Thing
Word Count: ~13,500
Warnings: Abuse of magic, flashbacks to the Whirlwind and references to rape and general pillaging by the same.
Summary: Brokenness can be beautiful, particularly when you can be broken together.
A/N: Written for the 2016 spring Seasonal Spuffy challenge, A New Era, with a hat-tip to [profile] garnigal for the title. For those of you who don’t know, kintsugi is the Japanese art of golden repair: repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, and not something to disguise. For the purposes of this fic, the prior story ended somewhere in the vicinity of “Smashed/Wrecked” and this one picks up right after that one.

Note: If I haven’t already nattered on enough, I am throwing canon out the window here. This is a smaller story than I had intended, but real life got in the way. I hope you all enjoy it anyway.

Title: The Temporary Nature of Any Precious Thing
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: NC-17
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Buffy/Spike
Spoilers: Through mid-S6, although it’s more than a bit AU. Takes place after my fic Certain Dark Things
Word Count: ~12,500
Summary: The things you most want to hold onto, the things that are most precious, are always temporary.
A/N: Written for [community profile] seasonal_spuffy  fall 2015 round. To look back, I realized that the last fic I’d written for SS was Certain Dark Things, and was a ‘verse I’d always intended to revisit. Coming around full circle, the title for the first fic in this series was from a Lucinda Williams song; this title is from a Lucinda Williams' song of the same name.
A/N2: I find the question of whether a vampire can suffer from something like PTSD to be a fascinating question. From the beginning of S3, and Angel’s slow recovery, I would assume that it’s possible.

First off, many thanks to my flisties for their support and encouragement in getting back into the Spuffy fandom, and helping me find something new to say. Thanks to gillo for suggesting the perfect poem, and helping to shape the fic as a whole. And extra warm thanks to sandy_s and ayinhara for their lightening fast betas. This fandom rocks.

Now, the fic. I strongly suggest you read the other two installments, but if you want to dive right in just know that in the first story, Spike and Buffy meet in LA between S2 and S3 and start up a relationship of sorts. In Certain Dark Things, Buffy rescues Spike from the Initiative at the end of S4, where he'd been held for months. This story starts about 3 months later.

Thicker Than Water
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Gen; Wesley, Dawn, Spike, OFCSpoilers: Part of my Second Childhood ‘verse, sequel to It Seems That All My Bridges Have Been Burnt
Word Count: ~4100
Summary: Blood may be thicker than water, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
A/N: Although “blood is thicker than water” is generally understood to mean that the bonds of blood kinship are stronger than any other bonds, other cultures have a slightly different take—that the bonds between those who take a blood oath are stronger than bonds between kin or even foster brothers. I’ll let you decide which understanding is more appropriate to this fic. Written for the hc_bingo prompt, “runaways.”

Life As We Know It
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Buffy/Spike
Spoilers: Through Not Fade Away (not comics-compliant)
Word Count: ~1200
Summary: It’s yet another apocalypse, and Buffy needs all the help she can get, even if that means a certain ex-boyfriend.
A/N: Written for [personal profile] effulgent_girl , who asked for Spuffy, and for the [community profile] hc_bingo  prompt “planet destruction” and the [community profile] trope_bingo  prompt “au: apocalypse.” Frankly, this could have been an epic, and I'm not saying that I won't revisit it and greatly expand this 'verse, but I just didn't have the time right now.

Make Me a Match
Author: enigmaticblue
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: I don’t own these characters; too bad, so sad.
Pairings/Characters: Spike/Buffy, Andrew
Spoilers: Through Ats S5, “Damages”
Word Count: 970
Summary: Andrew is nothing if not a matchmaker.
A/N: Written for the [community profile] trope_bingo  prompt “matchmaker.” I can’t believe I’m writing Spuffy again, but here we go. (Then again, I never quite bought that Andrew wouldn’t tell Buffy that Spike was alive-ish, or that he wouldn’t attempt serious matchmaking endeavors given S7 of BtVS.)
